How do I fix the Always-On display On iPhone 14 Pro?

Users have been waiting for years to use Apple’s Always-On display on the iPhone 14, which was finally introduced with the iPhone 14 series. But before the excitement could even settle, many users started facing issues with the AOD.

1: Ensure you have turned on Always-On display

Despite Always-On display being enabled by default on the iPhone 14 Pro, it’s still a good idea to enable it. Maybe you or somebody else might have changed them while fiddling around with the settings. So let’s see guys how to turn on always-on display.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Display & Brightness.
  3. Toggle on Always On.

Even if it’s on, just toggle it off and then turn it on again and see if the issue is fixed or not.

2: Update iPhone to the latest iOS version

The iOS 16 update has many features aimed at improving your experience, but it also comes with a number of uninvited bugs. Some of these bugs might be why you cannot use the AOD on your iPhone 14 Pro.

Fortunately, Apple always updates as soon as it finds a bug. Therefore, it is always better to use the latest version of iOS.

So, go to Settings → General → Software Update and see if there are any new updates available to install. You can also turn on automatic updates to always be on the latest iOS update. Apart from this method, there are many other ways to update your iPhone to the latest ISO version.

3: Turn off Low Power Mode

There is no doubt that AOD does affect the battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro. So you are required to turn it off to use the feature if you have enabled Low Power Mode.

There are two ways in which you can turn off Low Power Mode on your iPhone.
Go to Settings → Battery → toggle off Low Power Mode.

4: Change Sleep focus

The iPhone doesn’t always need to be on while you sleep, and Apple knows that. As a result, the Always-On display will be automatically turned off while in Sleep mode. Here are some options for solving this:

  • Change/turn off Focus from Control Center.
  • If you have linked the Lock Screen with Focus, change the Lock Screen.
  • You can also make this change from Settings.

You can also do these changes from Setting.
Go to Settings → Focus → choose the Focus of your choice.

5: Disable the Continuity Camera on iPhone

When you are using your Mac’s camera while using the iPhone Continuity Camera, Always On will not work. To solve this, you need to disable this option:

  1. Open Settings. Click General.
  2. Select AirPlay & Handoff.
  3. Here, toggle on Continuity Camera.

 6: Turn on/off Raise to Wake up on iPhone

  1. in Settings. Select Display & Brightness.
  2. switch off Raise to Wake.
  3. Then toggle it on again.

7: Turn off CarPlay on iPhone

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click General.
  3. Select CarPlay.
  4. Here select the car you want to remove.
  5. Now, select Forget This Car.

8: Restart your iPhone

Sometimes, a quick restart can fix some bugs. The next step is to force restart your iPhone if that does not work. All your iPhone’s cache, as well as any bugs, will be cleared when you restart it. There is a possibility that this will fix the AOD issue on your iPhone 14 Pro.

9: Reset iPhone

But the issue doesn’t get solved by restarting we have to reset our iPhone.By factory resetting the iPhone, it can have a new start, and any of the bugs preventing the proper functioning of AOD might also be removed.

However, before resetting your iPhone just take a backup of your important files and photos because after the reset everything will be removed and all the bugs also are.

10: Contact Apple Support

The last resort is to contact Apple Support and ask for assistance if none of these methods work for you. Be sure to be polite towards the representative as they are there to help you with the problem you are facing with your iPhone.
